  71. Thanks for your interest in CMFiler!  It is a product acclaimed by the
  72. media and users alike for the completeness of its file and disk
  73. services, ease of use, small size and lightning speed.  Users regularly
  74. write me that they have replaced their copy of XTreeGold, PC Tools or
  75. Norton Utilities with CMFiler for most of their file management tasks.

  77. This document contains only a brief description of the package and its
  78. features, along with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed
  79. documentation is included in the package, but it is in archived form,
  80. and is more easily read after installation.

  82. CMFiler is a shareware program written by an author member of the Associ.
  83. ation of Shareware Professionals.  This evaluation version includes all
  84. features of the program, and is NOT CRIPPLED IN ANY WAY.  You may use it
  85. for up to 60 days, without charge.  If you like the program, and wish to
  86. continue its use after this evaluation period, you are required to pay
  87. for the program (see the file ORDER.TXT for more details).  Any fee you

  125. ===== Installation =====================================

  127. CMFiler requires no special installation procedure.  After decompressing
  128. the file set, simply copy the files CMFILER.COM and CMFILER.OVY (the
  129. main program and its overlay) to the directory from which you wish to
  130. run it, select that directory, and type CMFILER at the DOS prompt.

  132. Or, if you prefer, a batch file INSTALL.BAT is provided in the fileset
  133. which creates the directory \CF604 on the drive of your choice, and
  134. copies the files to it.  It also creates the file CF604.BAT to the root
  135. of that drive. You should be able to simply type CF604 at the DOS prompt
  136. and run CMFiler.  INSTALL.BAT also includes instructions for adding
  137. CMFiler to a Windows 3.1 program group or Windows 95 program folder.

  140. ===== Warranty =========================================

  142. The shareware edition of CMFiler is fully functional and is equivalent
  143. to the registered edition, in order that prospective registrants may
  144. evaluate the program in its fullest implementation.  The shareware
  145. edition is not crippled in any fashion, but does contain usage-sensitive
  146. registration reminder screens.  These screens are easily dispatched,
  147. and in no way indicate or signal any loss of function or capability.

  149. CMFiler has exhibited stable, reliable operation on a variety of
  150. IBM-compatible PC systems, and NoVaSoft has established a reputation for
  151. quickly fixing bugs and implementing user suggestions for improvements.
  152. Copies of CMFiler are running stably in all versions of MS-DOS down to
  153. 3.3, PC-DOS, DR-DOS and Novell DOS, Novell NetWare OS, Windows 3.1 and
  154. 95, and OS/2.

  166. Any distributor meeting the criteria defined in the distribution portion
  167. of this VENDINFO.DIZ file is licensed to distribute this shareware
  168. edition of CMFiler without further permission from NoVaSoft.  Any
  169. individual evaluator or registered user of CMFiler is authorized and
  170. encouraged to distribute this edition to other potential users.

  172. This shareware edition of CMFiler is licensed to any user for evaluation
  173. for 60 days.  After 60 days use, the user is required to pay for
  174. CMFiler or stop using it.  CMFiler is not crippled in any way, and
  175. contains no time- or usage-triggered "logic bombs" or loss of
  176. capability.  It does contain time- and usage-triggered reminder
  177. screens encouraging the evaluator to honor his/her obligation to
  178. purchase CMFiler under NoVaSoft's copyright claim, but these screens are
